Artisan Millwright
The appointee should:
- NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or Adult Senior Certificate) or N2 in Engineering studies.
- Completed formal Learnership programme prior to obtaining a Millwright artisan Trade certificate as recognised by the MQA.
- At least 2 years working experience as a qualified Millwright
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
Key responsibilities include:
- Regularly attend to SHE meetings
- Ensure that relevant SHE documents are adhered to at all times and work in a safe environment
- Ensure that the prescribed safety equipment is always worn
- Identify environmental risks and ensure mitigation
- Maintenance and repairs
- Conduct regular plant inspections
- Attend to both electrical and mechanical breakdowns
- Assess breakdowns and apply appropriate fault finding techniques
- Maintain and/or repair low level and high level mechanical and electrical equipment
- Business improvement
- Participation in improvement projects
- Proactively identify risks and threats to the process
- Recommend issues that can improve area performance
- Ensure that any operational problem that is encountered is reported
- Support efforts to overcome operational problems
- Administration and reporting
- Complete breakdown works order
- Create works order notifications
- Conduct maintenance administration on the appropriate system
- Compile an shift/work order reports
