Assistant Transport Controller
The appointee should:
· Be in possession of a valid Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
· Have at least 2 years experience on heavy vehicles (EC)
· Passed area specific training modules for transport controllers role
· Knowledge on SAP and MS Suite
· Knowledge of Organizing, Planning and Control
· Be in possession of a valid drivers license code EC
· Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
Key responsibilities:
· Supervising Transport
· Scheduling timeous transport
· Fleet Management System
· Adhering to safety standards in the transport environment
· Ensuring the optimized performance of the vehicles
· Monitoring operating costs and efficiencies
· Inspecting vehicles for damage, presentation and defects
· Organizing breakdowns and emergencies
· Controlling of absence/ overtime and leave for employees
· Maintaining co-operation and teamwork
· Conducting skills training courses and appropriate tests
· High standard of housekeeping
Performing Administrative Functions
- Capturing data onto SAP AND Fleet Management system
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping on Vehicles
- Preparing appropriate reports
- Adhering to Safety, Regulations, The Act, Codes of practice and standards ie C.O.F/ Licenses/ Incidents/Accidents
- Processing safety, injury, risk and incident reports
- Participating in meetings
- Completing role requirements appropriate to the job
