Sibanye Stillwater: Security Guard

 

THE APPOINTEE SHOULD HAVE:

• Be in possession of a Grade 12 qualification or equivalent
• Have a Grade C registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA)
• Have at least 2 years working experience in the security control room and mining environment
• Have proven computer proficiency in MS Office and in relevant analytical crime data bases applications and software
• Demonstrate strong communication skills in English both verbally and in writing including report writing
• Be an assertive goal orientated self-starter with good interpersonal organizational and time management skills
• Be willing to undergo and successfully complete the ScreenX assessment
• Have the ability to work independently in an enclosed environment and pay attention to detail and to participate in a team
• Successfully undergo a security screening and clearance
• Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk- based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre

Key responsibilities:

Random and or routine CCTV Surveillance camera observation of the entire respective operational area as dedicated to the operator for the shift, with the aim of:

• Detecting irregularities, breach of policies and procedures and criminal activities
• Alarm and intruder detection system monitoring
• Dispatching of reaction team members to incidents
• X-Ray system viewing
• Logging of incidents
• Telephone and radio communication duties
