Novus Print: Montague Gardens is seeking to appoint an Electrical Engineering Intern to gain experimental learning within the Technical and Engineering department. This opportunity is ideal for a student studying towards a qualification and requires in service training/work exposure for a period of 12months. The successful incumbent will work closely with the Electrical team and will report to the Utility Maintenance Manager.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
To assist the Electrical team as directed by the Utility Maintenance Manager with the day to day running of the Electrical department focusing on: •Assisting with the execution of project driven electrical and electronic installations and maintenance according to SABS regulations •Assess the maintenance and electrical requirements of jobs assigned and allocated •Assist to execute and attend to electrical maintenance tasks, equipment and breakdowns •To adhere to safety procedures, operation of equipment and report unsafe practices • Regularly conduct plant inspections and assist with planned maintenance schedules • Conduct monthly safety inspection of equipment • Providing technical support to the mechanical and production departments • Assist with fault inspection of machinery including PLC, AC and DC drives •Perform administrative duties
